4.12.5 URN Attribute

The URN attribute is currently not used, and is not supported by current browsers or servers.

URNs, or Uniform Resource Names, are designed to be universal document indexes, independent of the servers. The format of URNs is currently under discussion by various working groups of the Internet Engineering Task Force.
